Celebs give 'thumbs up' for cancer patientIn 2010, Lane Goodman was diagnosed with stage IV rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that affects about 350 children in the United States each year. The now 13-year-old boy has relapsed twice since then and the cancer has spread to his brain, according to a Facebook page set up in his name. Photos of the brave boy smiling from the hospital, giving a thumbs up to the camera, have prompted an outpouring of support. His Facebook page has more than 195,000 likes as of Tuesday morning and thousands are posting photos of themselves giving him a "thumbs up" in return. This would be really impressive if they followed up their pictures with a million dollar donation to a cancer related charity (excluding breast cancer. that cause has most of the cancer money as it is.)
I'm willing to bet that it's all a hoax, and they're just trying to scam money out of people.
I'm from the area where Lane is from and it is very real. How dare you say that about a little boys life. You dont know. Hes been on national and local news since this movement. For him and is family it is more real to them than anything. Shame on you!
How sad that some people are so negative. Lane is such a fighter and has so much faith that he has fought this for 2 1/2 years. Now that it has gone to his brain, he has not given up hope, but to all of this 'thumbs up' he is glad that it is bringing awareness to childhood cancer what they have wanted to do from the beginning. They have succeeded in that and no one has given up hope for a cure.

It is very real. We have watched that poor child struggle for over two years, and watched his and his family's hearts break with every relapse. Too bad the world has become so jaded.
