New flu vaccine is on the way

Anyone looking for protection against the seasonal flu may soon find it available at a doctor's office or nearby clinic.  Manufacturers have begun to ship the 2010/2011 seasonal flu shots and sprays.

Glaxo SmithKline, Sanofi-Pasteur, Novartis and MedImmune (maker of the flu spray FluMist) have announced that their flu vaccines are being shipped to distributors.

In the end, 155 million doses of flu shots and sprays should be available for the upcoming flu season, if all goes well with the manufacturing process.  On Friday, Sanofi Pasteur announced that the first of more than 70 million doses of vaccine have been shipped and GSK plans to supply more than 30 million doses of vaccine.  Novartis said Thurday that  it plans to ship about 40 million flu shots and MedImmune began shipping  it's first of 15 million sprays on July 21.

More vaccine should be needed this year because the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is recommending for the first time that everyone 6 months and older should get a seasonal flu vaccination.  The CDC announced Thursday that is was adopting the recommendations of its vaccine advisory group from earlier this year.

A year ago at this time, flu activity was unusually high for the time of the year because of the spread of  new H1N1 strain.  This summer, the CDC says the number of flu cases is low.  Making vaccine available sooner should help people get protected long before the flu season actually begins to pick up again.

CDC spokesman Tom Skinner suggests that  if vaccine is available earlier people should try to get it. “We want people to get vaccinated, so if vaccine is going out and people can get it, then get it,” Skinner tells CNN.  He says there's no harm in getting a flu shot now rather than waiting until the fall, when people are used to getting their flu shots because “we know the vaccine is effective for 6-8 months, which should take you well into April of next year.”

Flu shots and sprays for the upcoming flu season will include the 2009 H1N1 strain, better known as swine flu, as one of the 3 strains included in the vaccine.

Last year the flu season peaked in October due to the emergence of the new pandemic flu strain, which was responsible for virtually all flu illness last year.  The CDC estimates that by the end of the 2009/2010 flu season at least 60 million people or about 20 percent of U.S. population had gotten sick from the new flu strain.  More people sought medical attention for flu-like symptoms during the H1N1 flu pandemic than almost any season since the CDC started reporting these numbers in 1997, according the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. Only the 2003 – 2004 season could match last year's number of doctor visits.

CNN's Saundra Young, Leslie Wade and Intern Carrie Gann contributed to this report.

      H–do your homework-virus was created in the lab, big pharma applied for the patent on the flu vaccine for H1N1 5 years before they released it, then released it within 90 days of getting the patent on H1N1 flu vaccine. Many countries got flu vaccine with squalene in it as an adjuvant- squalene causes autoimmune illness such as the Gulf War syndrome. Do the research before you get a vaccine of any kind. At least 2 childhood vaccines were found to be contaminated with Pig retro viruses which desrtroy the immune system like AIDs virus. This is a serious matter.

      LOL: The proposed H1N1 vax reported in this article is nothing new in its parameters: the 12 month data is analyzed, strains are ID'd and a MIXTURE of the most commonly occuring viruses are formulated into a vax-4-all. EVERY Aug., this data is analyzed prior to the "flu season". No news here. Carry on.

      The "pandemic" risk is as follows: bird flu (H5N1), which is fatal in 65% of those infected, combines with H1N1 and forms a deadly virulent strain whose immunization does NOT confer immunity.

      Um, wrong! Although it wasn't as bad as they predicted, it was pretty bad. I attended seven funerals due to the H1N1 flu – four of which were children. And that doesn't even begin to tell you how many people that I know personally that were in the intensive care unit, some it comas for over a month. It is a serious threat. Also, NONE of the people that I knew had any underlying health issues. I guess you are just lucky it didn't affect you or anyone you care about.

      Ah yes. The same logic that since we all didn't die in a nuclear war, nuclear weapons must be a hoax. Since a giant asteroid didn't kill millions of people, that can't happen either – stupid scientists looking for Near Earth Asteroids. Oh, and since no one I know died this year, all those reports about people dieing are hoaxes too...right? It couldn't just be random chance, odds, preventative measures and the limited scope of my own observations. Naaaw. That would make too much sense. Hoaxes sound better.

      Well, where to begin. First off, squalene in vaccine preps. When you do your research, make sure and do so from scholarly sources, especially those that are not sponsored by pharmaceutical companies. Bottom line, you will find...squalene and anti-squalene antibodies can be found in low titers in individuals that have not received squalene-adjuvant vaccines. And, here is the kicker, immunization with squalene-adjuvant vaccines does not increase the titer of squalene/squalene anti-bodies. Typical misinformed, internet misinformation.

      Carlos, Carlos...dear friend, such naivete. I'll bet the anti-vaccine folk on here are the same that believe in Aspartame syndrome, that MMR causes autism, that vitamin water will cure all that ails. In actuality, the worst flus play against the healthy, robust immune system. They elicit a vigorous immune response. Cytokines and immunologic cells and mediators damage the lungs. ARDS and bacterial superinfection. Being healthy can actually be the worst possible thing with certain flus, the Spanish flu, for example. Folks...stop relying on silly books and blogs and propaganda. It's dangerous and naive.

      Pankie...do you know why the Spanish flu killed millions of healthy individuals in the prime of their lives? Because they had the healthiest, most robust immune system. Some flu viruses are virulent in that they don't directly damage the lungs but they are ridiculously immunogenic...they just elicit an overwhelming immune response in the healthiest individuals. It is the immune response, the cells, the cytokines, that damage the tissue and set you up for ARDS and bacterial superinfection. And, yes, this type of flu will happen again. Not a matter of if, just a matter of when. And all of the Ostrich syndrome, stick your head in the sand, denial won't protect you when it does hit. And the largest proportion of people that will die aren't the comorbid, the elderly, the obese...it will be the healthiest individuals. It's just immunology 101.

    Oh yeah, Big Pharma has millions of gallons of the H1N1 Vaccine left because people world wide refused to take it. The vaccine is just sitting there,with a shelf life that's ticking away. So the only good solution, rather than dumping it out, is to create a new pandemic emergency and slip it into our flew shots. This is after the CDC and WHO admitting that they never said that mortality rates would be high, but that this flu would spread easily. This vaccine was a bad idea before, and remains a bad one.

Millions of people were given live cancer when they took the polio vaccines and the newer vaccines like the HPV vaccine, that they sale as cancer protection for women also contain cancer and some girls die of cancer within months of taking it and some are paralyzed or die within hours of taking it.

      The problem Melissa, is that under WHO guidelines, once the highest "pandemic" risk is announced, most governments have the power to announce FORCED vaccinations. Just a few months ago it came into light how prominent scientists working for WHO had close ties to big pharmaceutical companies. The new mostly made some headlines in Europe and it was ignored here...I wonder why?

      As you said people can make their own informed decisions. The scary thing is how we are becoming a zombie nation, stupid and ignorant, that does not cultivate discrimination or critical thinking.

They have no idea how to look at a scientific study, examine the study design, and interpret the significance of the results. There is a reason medical school is 4 years and residency is 3-7 years and fellowships are another 1-3 years and medicine still remains a lifelong learning process. I am all for being informed, but the average individual is going to be limited in this context, it just is what it is.

    I think there is some confusion here- for many years, the 'flu vaccines available in the US and most of the rest of the world have contained H3N2, H1N1, and influenza B components. The exact strains are changed every year or so to make sure that the vaccine provides the best "match" with circulating viruses. Last year, because the "Swine origin" 2009 H1N1 arose too late to be included in the regular seasonal vaccines, a separate vaccine specific to this novel strain of H1N1 had to be generated. This year, the vaccine will contain as its H1N1 component a strain closely related to the 2009 H1N1 to attempt to give the best coverage possible for the virus strains we expect to circulate this year.

      The rapid mutability of viruses makes the "seasonal flu vaccination" at best worthless and with the inclusion of 25 mcg of the second deadliest substance, mercury, much WORSE than worth less. Tests have proven the "seasonal flu vaccination" worthless for the young and old.

      Pediatric Flu Deaths by Year Made WORSE by Flu Vaccine

      * 1999 - – 29 deaths
      * 2000 - – 19 deaths
      * 2001 - – 13 deaths
      * 2002 - – 12 deaths
      * 2003 - – 90 deaths (Year of mass vaccinations of children under age 5 years)
      * 2006 -- 78 deaths
      * 2007 -–88 deaths
      * 2008 –-116 deaths (40.9% vaccinated at age 6 months to 23 months)

      Note IMO this holds for ALL “vaccination”

      For the CDC to recommend young children receive a "vaccination" that has not been independently tested nor registered on a non-emergency basis for young children is IMO criminal. Given the recent history of pediatric flu "vaccination" the CDC is already criminal.

    I guess we will soon get to see if children, or should I say guinea pigs, in the United States experience the same adverse events as those seen in Australian children with this years flu vaccine. It doesn't seem to matter, that it has still not been possible to identify a biological or other basis that would explain the higher than expected observed rates of fever and febrile convulsions in Australian children, after receiving this years seasonal flu shot. We will just keep our fingers crossed, hope for the best and vaccinate as many children as possible.

      I just read that the problem was found with one Austrailian company's (CSL) vaccine, Ask which company your vaccine was manufactured by and if it is CSL (marketed by Merck), DON"T take the risk. Find a flu vaccine made form one of the other companies.
      The Austrailian Assoc Press reports-
      "In related developments, Australian health officials lifted a ban on seasonal flu vaccines for children under five, though it remains in place for CSL's flu vaccine, the Australian Associated Press (AAP) reported today. Dr Jim Bishop, Australia's chief medical officer, said monitoring shows that the fever and febrile seizure side effects in young children appear to be confined to the CSL vaccine, though ongoing investigations have not pinpointed any biological or other basis that might explain the higher side effect rate."

      "Last winter the likelihood that a child without risk factors would die from swine flu was less than one in a million."

      An interesting fact about the children in Australia that experienced febrile convulsions, fevers and vomiting after receiving this years "seasonal + swine flu vaccine" is that it was in the area (Western Australia) that had the highest child influenza vaccine rate. So maybe, that smaller group of children, that will have an adverse event were being exposed in greater numbers.

      "Peter Collignon, a professor in infectious diseases from the Australian National University, says the seasonal flu vaccine has three components – one of which is swine flu – and children may be reacting badly to receiving a second exposure to part of the flu virus.

      "If you were infected with swine flu itself last year or had been given the swine flu vaccine last November or December or January, if you then get exposed again to a part of the virus, you've already got antibodies and white cells that are turned on to try to fight the virus," he said.

      "Therefore if you get exposed to it again you may have a brisk reaction, where you produce more antibodies and more white cells, which gives you a fever and an inflammatory reaction.

      "So one of the possibilities is that the children who have problems is because they already had immunity to the virus and therefore are over reacting when exposed again to some of the virus."

      Huyle you are on to something. This may offer a possible explanation. Our MAIN problem in not the manufacturer of a specific "vaccination". No our problem is the NATURE of "vaccination" itself.

      The fevers are IMO but symptoms of the damage being done to these poor children and their uninformed parents. "Vaccination" is slowly killing us, one shot at a time.

      Doctor Andrew Moulden took degrees in three disciplines on his quest to understand autism and the ASDs. He has put the pieces together to prove vaccination is causing harm each and every time you vaccinate. Doctor Moulden discovered as we have learned with cancer (See Cancer Protection Protocol) oxygen is a key to life. Ischemia means impaired blood flow. Anoxia is no oxygen. Hypoxia is low oxygen.

      Doctor Moulden presents the indisputable forensic medical evidence for how ALL vaccinations are inducing harmful brain and body damages EVERY time you "vaccinate". The damages are being caused by an electrostatic as well as an immune induced hypersensitivity response that derails microscopic blood flow and fluid dynamics. We are seeing the exact same problems from infants to geriatrics. All vaccination produces micro strokes to the brain and elsewhere in your body. Most do not produce overt effects but ALL produce ischemia. Vaccinate enough and the harm can become overt as in misaligned eyes or facial grimaces, can greatly harm as in autism or can kill as in SIDS.

    Autism rates in the US has increased in a dramatic and alarming rate. We still do not know the cause but too many people are still blaming vaccines. I am of the philosophy that when there is smoke, there is fire.

    I know some vaccines are safer than others, but I urge everyone to educate themselves. There are safer, alternative ways for protecting oneself form viruses, such as the use of the new types of coloidal silver, proven to kill viruses. Sovereign Silver is a great brand which has figured out how to make the silver particles really small so they are processed by the body in a safe and easy way.

      autism symptoms are genetic, and just so happen to appear at an age when kids start having the necessary vaccinations to protect them, say 2 years...

    I have gotten a flu shot every year since 1972–almost died from the flu and I was very young then. People send their children to school sick–and yes, they had the HINI flu too. At least I won't get it–teacher needs to be alert and not miss days of school.

    None of you must have had a teen diagnosed with 2009 H1N1. I did and it was not a "fun ride". My daughter was fine when she went to work that afternoon. She met us for dinner and I knew something was wrong before she ever walked through the door of the restaurant. We went to the ER that night and she was dx. with 2009 H1N1 and early pneumonia. Thankfully, we went that night since the pneumonia was already started. She recovered very slowly and still tired very easily for a couple of months after. Her father also came down with it on a trip to California and almost died. They were the only 2 that did not take the 2009 H1N1 shot. This year everyone will get the vaccine. I will not take the chance of loosing one of my children or grandchildren to the flu. And, yes, at first I was afraid to have the shot given to them too, but I did anyway and it was worth it

      Flu generally does make you feel like you are dying. Pnemonia can accompany the flu. Many Doctors were diagnosing patients with H1N1 without actually testing the patient because it didn't matter what the cause was only that the patient is really sick. For all I know though these two people may have a weakened immune system. Thousands of people die each year from the flu virus that leaves the sick vulnerable to other viruses.

      The strong survives the rest get immunized.

      Thanks for sharing your story, I'm glad your daughter recovered.

      Quick note to the repliers here, being healthy is the worst thing you can be when hit by the H1N1. It triggers an overwhelming immune response which is the killer, not the virus itself. That's why so many young, healthy people died instead of the elderly and infants like in the seasonal flu.

      Also, don't feed the trolls. Don't try to argue with online posters, it doesn't work for anyone and it just validates them. I've seen many posts here by people who truly need mental help for paranoia.

      Common misconception...thank you. Same is true of the Spanish flu. It's the vigorous immune response, the cytokines, the immune mediators that damage the lungs and set you up for ARDS and bacterial superinfection. Didn't notice you had already typed this, but what you type is absolutely true. And, yes, it will happen again on a larger scale. A matter of when, not if. As for those that argue "eat right, exercise, don't vaccinate"...those are just the arguments of the misinformed. And, in most cases, that misinformation comes from sources with a direct vested monetary interest in propagating misinformation.

      As a public health professional, the comments here scare me. It’s like arguing against using a seat belt because you’ve never been in a car accident. These people are going to be the ones carrying and spreading the disease because they don’t feel it’s their responsibility to adhere to a quarantine (which would always be voluntary, there simply aren’t enough resources to strictly enforce one), and they are going to be the ones using up the already scarce resources this county has to fight off a pandemic. All because they read a blog by another conspiracy theorist, and decided that they didn’t need to take precautions. Is it 100% foolproof? No, like anything it could fail, but the benefits far exceed the drawbacks.

      As an alternative to the worthless “vaccination” being pushed on us for the bio-engineered viruses please consider two vitamins to reinforce your immune system.

      Vitamin D: I take 10,000 IU of vitamin D3/day. Vitamin D is required to keep the virus from entering your deep lung tissue. With a good level of vitamin D in your blood your body produces the antimicrobial peptides which allow the interception and destruction of the viruses, ANY virus, in your upper respritaory tract BEFORE they can enter your deep lungs.

      A test of viral bio-weapons appears to have occurred in the Ukraine last flu season and hemorrhagic lung was the chief cause of death. I suspect hemorrhagic lung may be the chief threat during our Political Pandemic.

      Vitamin C: Vitamin C also aids your immune system in destroying virus invaders. Vitamin C is required to produce collagen. When you suffer massive tissue destruction such as during a serious viral infection, your vitamin C needs may exceed one gram/hour. In any case one gram/hour is a good place to start IMO.

      16 Sept 2010

      Did 1918 Spanish Flu Deaths Result From Aspirin-Induced Vitamin C Deficiency?

      “In a more recent experiment, mice were genetically altered so they did not synthesize vitamin C in their liver as most other animals do (guinea pigs, primates, and humans are an exception as they don’t naturally produce vitamin C within the liver and must completely rely upon the diet for vitamin C). These vitamin C-deficient mice were inoculated with influenza virus and experienced massive damage to their lungs compared to vitamin C-adequate mice. Researchers concluded that supplemental “vitamin C is required for an adequate immune response and in limiting lung pathology after influenza virus infection.” Journal Nutrition. 2006 Oct; 136(10):2611–6

      “If overuse of aspirin during the 1918 Spanish flu was the primary cause of flu-related death as Dr. Karen Starko contends, then modern medicine has missed a large lesson on how to prevent flu-related death – that it was aspirin-induced scurvy that heightened mortality during this worldwide flu pandemic, maybe not the flu itself. If this hypothesis is true, then preventable mortality continues today. Many hundreds of thousands have needlessly succumbed to a vitamin C deficiency induced by self-treatment with aspirin and/or modern medicine’s continued failing to practice nutritional medicine.” Bill Sardi

      “In fact, as revealed in this article, the lack of vitamin C may be attributed to most of the flu deaths over the past century.” Bill Sardi

      Please read this insightful article. There is a very good chance the whole 1918 slaughter was a Rockefeller and Rothschilds induced event. Just as it is this time.

      It is clear to me that at a minimum vitamin C deficiency plays a LARGE role in virus death by hemorrhagic lung, IMO the chief threat from our Political Pandemic so far. Taking one gram of ascorbate/hour as advised in the virus fighting protocol, will stand you in good stead should you come down with a serious case of the flu. Of course large amounts of vitamin D should keep you from ever getting into a hemorrhagic lung situation.

      Should you or a loved one come down with hemorrhagic lung an IV vitamin C drip may be the only thing that can save you. Most hospitals will refuse to perform this IV vitamin C drip. When forced to do it a “lost” patient has often been saved.

  27. Revolting Peasant

    When I was in high school, there were smart kids, dumb kids, and a range of kids in between. The smartest of the kids in between hung out with the smart kids hoping some of it would rub off on them. The dumber of the kids in between hung out with the dumb kids so that they could have a chance at feeling smart themselves. All of us know which of these camps we fall into. I was one of the in betweens who hung out with the smart kids and I have had a life full of successes thanks to them. Some of these smart kids went out and made a lot of money. I followed them and made a lot of money too. Others of these smart kids devoted themselves to science and went into fields like biochemistry and epidemiology. I'm going to stick with those smart kids and get the flu shot. More importantly, I'm going to get it for my baby girl, so that she can start out life in the circle of the smart kids.

      Those smart kids I mentioned don't seem to have a problem with squalene. Some of the dumber kids I mentioned got the idea that squalene was dangerous but the smart kids looked into it and could not find any convincing evidence. Meanwhile, the dumb kids are putting all kinds of stupid stuff into their babies, so I figure it will net out to my kid's advantage.

      OlJim - Your kid sounds like one of the smart ones. Intelligence has been known to skip generations! Just for fun, ask your son to ask his classmates majoring in molecular biology, epidemiology, etc., whether they believe in flu vaccines. Also, ask your son if he thinks your experience with one child represents a scientific sample set. My grandmother lived to 95 smoking 2 packs day and eating bacon every chance she got. Her one experience does not refute the scientific evidence against smoking and excessive bacon-eating.

      "Revolting", you and others keep talking about squalene. Do you realize that this is a natural compound produced by humans (as well as all known plants and animals)? Or that in the one study linking squalene in vaccines to Gulf War Syndrome, it was subsequently discovered that the vaccines did not even have squalene in them, completely disproving the study?

      Yes, of course, I realize that there is no scientific basis to the fear of squalene. I indicated earlier that I was happy to inject it into my baby, esp if that lessens her chance of catching influenza.

      How do you know you have never been ill? 65% of all influenza infections are asymptomatic. Even without symptoms, you may have been happily transmitting the virus to others. The average influenza case will infect approximately 3 people. If the people infected are old, immuno-compromised or very young, there is a great chance of a hospital stay, or worse, death. Be responsible. Vaccines and infection prevention aren't just about you and you alone.

  33. H1N1 Hoax of 09

    This alleged deadly strain of flu fizzled out far behind other viruses. However, the World Health Organization changed their pandemic rating scale in order to force the vaccine upon people. Is this the new Polio? I don't think so! Regular flu kills 500,000 people per year while H1N1 killed 18,000 people. I believe the latter number is highly inflated if not an outright lie. These jerks aren't tricking me anymore. If they really want to save me, they can remove fluoride from my water and make better water plants that distill prozac and birth control pills from my water!

    Vaccines in and of themselves aren't all evil. Some can be quite advantageous. But, to label ALL vaccines completely safe for everyone is a bit of generalizing. And not everyone needs the flu vaccine! I'm almost 40 and have never had a flu vaccine in my life. Neither have most of the family and friends I know. And we're all fine. Sure, some of us did get the H1N1, including a young lady with asthma ...but with proper nutrition before and after, and adequate doses of VITAMIN D, our bodies absolutely CAN fight off the flu. It's not dangerous for everyone. I think this whole fear mongering thing has got to stop.
    I think that the CDC and the WHO should start recommending higher doses of Vitamin D for everyone. Check out the website http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/ - it's very enlightening, and you may just find your protection from many flu viruses!

      So, what do you make of recommendations to use sun screen whenver you go outside. Sunlight is vital to natural creation of Vitamin D, but most people block out the sun and thus are Vit D deficient.

      Right on Nic,that is the most reasonable response yet.The truth is somewhere in the middle. I never felt that the vaccine was necessary or dangerous but I was forced to get it because I work in the medical field.I was a little pissed that I was forced to because,as you said, I'm a healthy 41yr.old male who has never had the flu vaccine,until then ,and has never had the flu.The evidence of a pandemic was just never there and almost everyone diagnosed with it had mild symptoms and were better in a few days.

      Revolting Peasant – don't be dumb, you are blocking out UV rays not Vitamin D. sunscreen only blocks out a percentage of the sunlight, not ALL of it.

      July 31, 2010 at 01:07 | Report abuse |
    • Doug

      BGko, I love when commenters call others stupid, while at the same time revealing their own ignorance. Yes, sunscreen does not block 100% of sunlight, but it blocks most, and in the process dramatically reduces vitamin D production. So, "revolting" is absolutely right that sunscreen use reduces the body's ability to make vitamin D.

      The reality that doctors are afraid to admit is that while there is very good evidence that excess sun exposure is bad, there is very little evidence that small amount of unprotected sun exposure is bad. In fact, excess sunscreen use, by reducing vitamin D levels, may actually cause cancer. The current evidence suggests that limited sun exposure (~15-30 min per day) without sunscreen is ideal. More than this increases risk for skin cancer, and less than this causes low vitamin D levels, increasing risk for other cancers.

    Truthfully, the primary reason to get seasonal flu vaccinations is long-term protection. Whatever your chances of contracting the seasonal strain are, having as many vaccinations as possible provides the best protection should there be another major species jump of a flu strain. It merely increases your chances of already having a variant similar to a new strain from a species jump, meaning if bird flu ever turns into the catastrophe people fear, you won't get quite as violently sick.

    Personally, I get every new flu shot available.

    Truely the reasons we see many deaths in this nation due to flu and see a resurrgent in childhood illnesses that at one time were all but dead, is the ignorance of individuals that refuse vacinations for themselves and their children. You do not remeber the days of polo, measales, mumps, whopping cough, typoid, etc.... all you notice in your super clean environment is that our children today have no built in immunities.

    I've never been sicker than the one and only flu shot i received in 2005 and have no plans to ever get a flu shot again. I got a kick out of a doctor's visit last year when i heard a nurse take a call from a woman who had just been given the flu shot and was calling because she was very ill. When the nurse got off the phone i asked her opinion and she said of course we're all told we can't get sick from the flu shot but that calls like that are very common and she doesn't get the flu shot because of what she's seen. Also recall that nurses left work to protest when they were going to be forced to get the H1N1 shots last year! Now I know there are lots of people in the medical field who swear by flu shots and believe all the stats provided by pharma. I don't because they weren't my stats and i have no desire to continue the study on myself. I'd rather get any flu I've ever had before or after my flu vaccine flu.

    And just to be proactive with the comments I am sure i will hear back – but not read because i don't have time to engage in a debate. But just going to share this one thought and move on with life. BUT...

    first, no one comment that I need to get educated – I am very well educated. second, I don't want to hear that the flu virus is dead and you can't get sick from it. (it may be dead – but you clearly can get sick from something.) third, I don't want to hear that it was a coincidence and correlation doesn't equal causation. (there are in deed many coincidences in medicine, but there is too much real world anecdotal evidence to ignore.)

  44. Not getting it

    (NaturalNews) A stunning new report reveals that top scientists who convinced the World Health Organization (WHO) to declare H1N1 a global pandemic held close financial ties to the drug companies that profited from the sale of those vaccines. This report, published in the British Medical Journal, exposes the hidden ties that drove WHO to declare a pandemic, resulting in billions of dollars in profits for vaccine manufacturers.

    Several key advisors who urged WHO to declare a pandemic received direct financial compensation from the very same vaccine manufacturers who received a windfall of profits from the pandemic announcement. During all this, WHO refused to disclose any conflicts of interests between its top advisors and the drug companies who would financially benefit from its decisions.

    All the kickbacks, in other words, were swept under the table and kept silent, and WHO somehow didn't think it was important to let the world know that it was receiving policy advice from individuals who stood to make millions of dollars when a pandemic was declared.

    Let's see, I've had the flu once in over 30 years. That means I have roughly a 3% chance of getting the flu without being vaccinated. The flu vaccine which contains dangerous chemicals and FREAKING VIRUSES gives me about 30-50% coverage against the flu. If I get the vaccine I have a 1.5-2% chance of getting the flu, except I have a 90% chance of getting fever, runny nose and cough for a few days after I get the shot. Hmmm....I'll take my chances.
