I watch and agonize over the plight of the children in Haiti who may or will be left there, with basic needs never to be met. I understand that the adoption of these children is a lengthy process, but what about a fostering program for these children in various home in several countries, including the US of course, where it would take only air fare to and from where they are fostered with good, loving families, while they await a permanent homes? Basic needs and beyond in loving homes could facilitate a great need. And these foster families would know and understand, this is a temporary situation while the process is fulfilled. We would be willing, as I know there are countless others who would as well. If you would pass this along to the proper parties to think of a temporary fostering program, I would greatly appreciate it. You've been more than a port in the storm in all of this. Thank you from all of us. Marilyn Wholley

Dr Gupta, while looking at CNN and listening to you in Haiti, I was moved. This piece reminded me of the last verse of ' The Wound Dresser' by Walt Whitman:

"Thus in silence in dreams' projections...
I thread my way through the hospitals..."

Your selfless actions have reaffirmed my faith in humanity. And your realistic reporting have saved CNN.

    Thank you.
