Ian Kerner: Frank, fun talk with Joy about porn, self-love

Last night on "The Joy Behar Show"  I had more fun than I've had in a long time. We had a frank, funny conversation about sex and we covered everything from National Masturbation Month to vibrator etiquette to women and porn. Talking to Joy makes me pleasantly (and pleasurably) aware of one of the most important aspects of sex: It's funny! Thanks Joy!

A quarter of the world lives in abject poverty and Americans create and celebrate National Masturbation Month. Isn't there something wrong with this picture ... ?

Yes, we need to get rid of the areas in poverty

To Raymond. Are we never supposed to enjoy ourselves or partake in something positive in our life when there are still problems in the world? If so, where's your beef with movies; music; game nights; good conversation with friends. Sounds like someone needs to get off their high horse and appreciate things in their life. Food for thought.

I think that they probably use masturbation a lot in abjectly poor countries. It is interesting that in India they are even talking about using television as a method of birth control. We have more in common with them than you think.

@ Raymond. Yes, there is. Maybe that quarter of the world should focus more on "self-indulgence" rather than having a ton of kids they can't feed or educate. Spend some time in the third world – you'll find a great deal of its problems are self-created or self-perpetuated.

Those primates in those 3rd world countries should try rubbing one out instead of feeding the flies every 9 months when they hit their target and the woman pops out another unwanted / unneeded unit

So what do you do, as a primate yourself?

We have lost so much with being in touch with our morals. What a shame. But, this is the last days and wicked and corrupt people have nothing better to do than partake in vain glory conversation. Perhaps a talk about repentance would be in order. Oh, I forgot, this is Joy's show. Excuse me.

Don't worry, Thomas, you'll have more than one week to live on this planet and try to convince us of our devilish ways.

You can waste your life waiting for the end times, or you can choose to live and quit judging people.

Way to go, Joy. After reading "Royal Prophecy Of Doom", my girlfriend has no problem masturbating.

Wow. I kind of agree with both (sort of extreme) ideas expressed. Makes you think out loud about our own values vs our own actions. Maybe Joy Behar is actually a social genius, igniting small fires of extreme social stigmas in order to get us to verbalize our beliefs.

    Good post.

Joy is completely uncomfortable with this subject. A bit too straight laced to serve as the interviewer.
